Nestled underneath the West Seattle Bridge in the historic Luna Park neighborhood, Avalon Glassworks is an art gallery, gift shop and artist studio rolled into one. The outside temperature may rise and fall, but it's always a cozy 2125 degrees inside the Avalon Glassworks furnace. Feel the heat as molten glass is pulled from the flames and blown, stretched and shaped right before your eyes. Cool off next door with one of Luna Park Café's famous milkshakes. Wrap your gift with the colorful tale of how you personally witnessed the creation of such vibrant works of art. Gallery open daily; call ahead for glass blowing schedules.
